  1. For some reason I missed this writing of yours Paul but am very happy to have read your poignant words. You have nailed it, a picture can say a thousand words. Always enjoying your photos. Kind regards.

  2. Paul, I was just scrolling through what I had missed and found this. First, as always beautiful. Then your words, added to the beauty of the photography, poignant. I am always stunned by your photos, so thank you for a bit of your spirit.

  5. Brilliant work as always Paul, & what a perfect combination of photograph, words & timing. Your other work ie. the photographs you choose to post in the absence of words have always resounded with me deeply; perhaps more deeply than if they had an accompanying explanation or quote. Wishing you & yours peace & health during these uncertain times.

  6. This is a beautiful post. Thank-you for sharing your thoughts, your truth, and even your desire for a response from the Lord now. Now listen. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I completely feel you! In the visual world the language is so clear and loud, and as the written words don’t have the same feeling anymore! I really liked your blog! Thank you

  8. May the Risen Lord have mercy on all of us, Paul. We are all in this together and will see it through. As the Queen of England said in her speech, remembering WWII, “We’ll all meet again.” Please stay safe until we’ve come out of this and can once more walk freely in the world. —- Suzanne

  9. Dear Paul we all live in the same war… we are struggling too, even not being in the hospital or not being a doctor,..etc. but we are too. We are people in the “stay at home” procedure… Photography is the way to talk with the world… photography is a note for future… But in narrowed and limited area… It is not easy days for all of us. I loved your post too (but always I love)… but this time I can also hear you dear Paul,…. Art is the medicine as always… I can’t believe that there is a small virus out there and killing people… especially while the blue sky and sun are smiling to me from my windows…

Everything will be ended at the end… I do believe this.

God be with us… Stay in safe. Thank you, Love, nia

  10. Reblogged this on It Is What It Is and commented:

Wow, Paul … so very interesting. Thanks for sharing! … “God, what times have we been given to live, and thatโ€™s only because of a small virus, … or maybe there were other causes that we donโ€™t know and maybe weโ€™ll find out over โ€ฆ about 100 years.”

  11. Stunning. Both the photo and the words. The light and the shadows in your photo are particularly interesting contrasted with the red flowers. The one seems to be dying…
Iโ€™ve wondered if you read my words…or if anyone really does. No matter. Iโ€™m still going to write them. ๐Ÿ™‚
In our suffering today, we may just learn something…
Be well, Paul. As always, thank you for sharing your beautiful visions. ๐Ÿ’“

  12. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Paul. These are strange and difficult times indeed, and it does feel (sometimes) as though the virus is an excuse to impose and enforce restrictions… even to abuse power in some cases. Who knows, as you say, we may learn more many years from now. On another note, your photographs speak volumes—of beauty, love, friendship and more. Thank you for that. Sometimes I think I spoil my art by adding too many words… I guess that neither is right or wrong. We’re all human and we just do what we do. Much love to you, and please enjoy your Easter with Maya— may you remain healthy as you go out and snap away to share your heart with us.

  13. Thank you Paul, youโ€™ve expressed what many feel. To live in a time of this rampant disease and isolation is unimaginable. Looking forward to coming out on the other side. Wishing you a peaceful Easter.

    • Thank you so much! A peaceful Easter, to you too! I hope you like how I write it and most important the picture…which can say much more than I would express in words … look at it very carefully, and pay attention to details … ๐Ÿ™‚
