  1. Staghorn sumac ( Rhus typhina L.) has a lovely scent if you crush the velvety berries. I don’t know if your photo is of that North American shrub (brought to Europe for ornamental qualities?), but it reminds me of it. The bright red fall leaves of that shrub are a delight in the increasingly grey world of Autumn.
