  1. Yes, flowers are messengers. You reminded me of a book I haven’t looked at for years. Titled “The Language of Flowers” Hand written in 1913 by a father for his daughter, it lists a plethora of flowers, thorns, leaves, etc. (even Parsley has an entry) and their Victorian day meanings. There are 35 Rose entries alone. All roses mean love … of a sort.
    The White Rose’s meaning is listed as “I am worthy of you”
    A withered White Rose means “Transient Impressions”
    I will find meanings for other flowers you post, from time to time. If you don’t mind?
